Bill is a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Army and Army Reserves as an Avionic Specialist for six years.
Currently, Bill runs WL Battaglia LLC, a consultant group in Southern Maryland that offers both managerial and technology disciplines to the Department of the Navy.
For 27 years as an employee of TRW, ESL Division, Bill progressed his career from technician to Program Manager for technology projects, culminating in managing Business Development and Foreign Military Sales Departments.
After a move from California to Southern Maryland, Bill served military customers as the Director of Software Engineering at BTG Inc. in North Beach for three years.
He and his family co-founded and ran the DO-DA-DELI Inc., in Leonardtown, Maryland from 1999 to 2010. The restaurant was known as a place of learning, acceptance and great food.
In June 2004, Bill co-founded a veteran owned technology services company, Global Technology and Management Resources (GTMR), Inc. He and his partners grew the company to 85 employees over 14 years and provided technical and test services as well as patented prototype products to the Navy and Air Force. Bill served as CEO until October, 2016, managing offices in Maryland, Georgia and California.
The Chamber of Commerce of Warner-Robbins, Georgia appointed Bill to the Georgia Congressional Committee on Military Affairs during the 2015-2016 session.
Bill is member of and volunteer at Grace Chapel Church and the Rotary Club of Leonardtown, MD.
